The TUNGALOY 6802295 is a CNMG-series indexable turning insert designed for general-purpose metal cutting in CNC and manual turning applications. Manufactured from solid carbide and coated with TiAlN via a PVD process under the AH120 grade designation, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of workpiece materials. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style. With four usable cutting edges and a negative rake geometry, it is suited for moderate to heavy interrupted and continuous cuts on steel and related alloys. Licensed machinists and CNC setup techs are the primary installers.

This insert is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. It is appropriate for turning, facing, and boring operations in both production and job-shop environments. Installation Notes
