The TUNGALOY 6772424 is a CCMT060204-PS grade T9215 solid carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC and manual lathe applications. It features a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, which delivers wear resistance and thermal protection across a range of workpiece materials. The insert has an 80-degree diamond shape, a neutral hand orientation, a 0.0157-inch corner radius, and a 0.25-inch inscribed circle diameter. With a positive rake angle of 10 degrees and a honed cutting edge, it is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert in standard CCMT-style toolholders.

This insert is built for turning, facing, and boring operations on steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, and K. Installation Notes
