The TRU-MAXX TUA2A2FCC100L is a rectangular silicon carbide dressing stick used to true, open, and condition grinding wheels. It removes loading and restores the cutting face of vitrified and resin-bonded wheels to maintain consistent stock removal rates. At 100 grit, this stick provides a medium-coarse cut suitable for reshaping wheel profiles and clearing glazed abrasive surfaces. The vitrified bond construction delivers good form retention and controlled breakdown as the stick wears. Measuring 6 inches long by 0.5 inches wide by 0.5 inches thick, it fits comfortably in hand for bench and pedestal grinder dressing operations. Machinists, tool grinders, and shop maintenance personnel are the typical users.
This dressing stick is suited for use in machine shops, tool rooms, maintenance departments, and fabrication environments where grinding wheel condition directly affects part finish and dimensional accuracy. It is applied to surface grinders, bench grinders, pedestal grinders, and cylindrical grinding setups. The 100-grit silicon carbide composition makes it particularly effective on aluminum oxide, CBN, and diamond wheels that require periodic face correction. It is sold as a single stick per package.
Designed as a general-purpose dressing stick compatible with vitrified, resin-bonded, and superabrasive grinding wheels used in standard bench, pedestal, and surface grinding applications.
Grinding wheel dressing is performed by qualified machinists or maintenance personnel familiar with abrasive equipment safety. Power down the grinder and allow the wheel to come to a complete stop before inspecting or adjusting wheel condition. When dressing a running wheel, hold the stick firmly against the tool rest and apply light, consistent pressure across the wheel face — never force the stick into the wheel. Follow applicable ANSI B11 grinding safety standards and shop PPE requirements, including eye protection and a face shield.
