The TRU-MAXX TM-052AK8TD1 is a vitrified aluminum oxide mounted point designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing on metal workpieces. Shaped to the B52 pointed profile, it delivers controlled material removal in hard-to-reach areas such as cavities, contours, and internal bores. The 120-grit, fine-grade abrasive provides a balance between cutting speed and surface finish quality. Rated to a maximum of 45,370 RPM, this mounted point is built for use with die grinders and rotary tools common to toolroom, maintenance, and fabrication environments. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets on most pneumatic and electric die grinders.
This mounted point is suited for light-to-medium stock removal and finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The hard bond and vitrified construction maintain wheel integrity under consistent rotary load, making it appropriate for bench grinder accessories, handheld die grinders, and precision rotary tools used in machine shops, maintenance facilities, and metal fabrication operations. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 25 units, making it well-suited for shop-stock purchasing.
Designed as a standard 1/8-inch shank mounted point for use with pneumatic and electric die grinders, flexible shaft machines, and rotary tools that accept 1/8-inch collets. Always verify the spindle RPM rating of the host tool does not exceed 45,370 RPM before use.
Mounted points must be installed by tightening the collet nut securely on the shank before operating the tool. Inspect the point for cracks or chips before each use and discard any damaged abrasive. Always allow the mounted point to run up to speed before applying it to the workpiece, and do not exceed the marked maximum RPM. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required during all grinding operations per applicable OSHA and ANSI B11 safety standards.
