The TRU-MAXX T1-7WB31190-T is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel engineered for precision flat and surface grinding applications. Built with a ceramic abrasive grain and vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent material removal and long wheel life on ferrous and hard materials. At 60 grit and K hardness (medium grade), it strikes a practical balance between stock removal rate and surface finish quality. Rated to 3600 RPM maximum, it is sized at 7 inches in diameter with a 1/4-inch thickness and a 1-1/4-inch arbor hole. Machinists, tool and die makers, and surface grinder operators install this wheel in production and maintenance shop environments.
This wheel is suited for use on horizontal-spindle reciprocating-table surface grinders and compatible bench or pedestal setups. The Type 1 straight-wheel profile is one of the most common configurations found in production machine shops and maintenance facilities. A medium 60-grit ceramic formulation performs well on hardened steels and tool steels where controlled stock removal and reasonable surface finish are both priorities. The non-porous, non-recessed construction and blue wheel color are consistent with standard vitrified ceramic grinding wheel production specifications.
Designed for use on horizontal-spindle surface grinders and compatible grinding equipment accepting a Type 1 straight wheel with a 7-inch diameter, 1/4-inch thickness, and 1-1/4-inch arbor hole bore.
Mounting and dressing of grinding wheels should be performed by a qualified machinist or grinding equipment operator following ANSI B11.9 and applicable shop safety standards. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before mounting and perform a ring test. Power down and lock out the grinder before removing or installing a wheel. Never exceed the maximum rated RPM of 3600; confirm the machine spindle speed before operation.
