The TRU-MAXX SZMFW3120 is a shank-mounted flap wheel designed for deburring, blending, and finishing operations on metal and other hard surfaces. It measures 1.5 inches in outside diameter with a 0.5-inch face width and mounts via a 0.25-inch shank for use in die grinders and rotary tools. The abrasive material is aluminum oxide in a coated configuration, rated at a fine 120 grit. With a maximum operating speed of 30,000 RPM, this wheel suits high-speed tool applications where consistent surface finish and controlled material removal are required. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die workers are the primary users.
This mounted flap wheel is suited for precision grinding, blending weld seams, removing burrs from bores, and finishing contoured surfaces in both shop and field settings. Its compact 1.5-inch diameter allows access to tight areas, slots, and internal cavities that larger abrasive wheels cannot reach. It is appropriate for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in light manufacturing, maintenance, and fabrication environments. The coated aluminum oxide construction delivers consistent cut and finish across the working face without interleaf material, keeping the wheel profile clean through use.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools equipped with a 0.25-inch collet or chuck. Suitable for deburring and finishing ferrous and non-ferrous metal workpieces in standard shop and maintenance applications.
Installation is performed by machinists or fabricators using a die grinder or rotary tool with a matching 0.25-inch collet. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from the air supply or electrical source before mounting or removing the wheel. Never exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum speed rating marked on the wheel. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and discard any wheel showing cuts, tears, or delamination of the abrasive flaps.
