The TRU-MAXX DHP800C2 is a diamond abrasive coated hand pad designed for precision surface finishing and material removal on hard, wear-resistant substrates. At 800 grit, this pad delivers fine finishing action suitable for smoothing, deburring, and final-stage surface prep on materials such as carbide, ceramic, glass, stone, and hardened steel. The rectangular pad profile fits comfortably in the hand for controlled, manual strokes without the need for a power tool. Coated abrasive construction bonds diamond particles across the pad face for consistent cut rate and extended pad life compared to standard silicon carbide or aluminum oxide alternatives. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, stone fabricators, and tile setters are the primary users of this type of pad.
This pad is suited for bench work and field applications where a fine 800 grit finish is required. Typical use scenarios include lapping flat surfaces, touching up carbide tooling, smoothing ceramic tile edges, honing glass edges, and finishing natural or engineered stone surfaces. The compact 2.25 x 3.75 inch footprint makes it practical for tight areas and edge work where larger abrasive tools cannot reach. The white pad color provides a visual contrast that helps the user monitor wear and surface contact during use.
Designed for manual hand use on hard and abrasion-resistant materials including carbide, ceramic, glass, and natural or engineered stone surfaces requiring fine 800 grit finishing.
No power tools or mechanical fixtures are required for use. Apply moderate, consistent hand pressure in linear or circular strokes depending on the finish requirement. Keep the work surface and pad lubricated with water or a compatible cutting fluid when working on ceramics, glass, or stone to reduce heat buildup and extend pad life. Inspect the pad face periodically for loading or uneven wear and replace when abrasive action diminishes.
