The TRU-MAXX 7351 is a coated abrasive belt designed for aggressive material removal on wide belt sanders and industrial finishing machines. Built on a polyester cloth backing with an X-weight rating, it delivers the rigidity and flexibility needed for demanding dry grinding and surface conditioning tasks. The aluminum oxide abrasive is applied at a closed coat density, meaning the abrasive grains are tightly packed across the full belt surface for consistent stock removal. At 80 grit, this is a medium-grade belt suited to rapid material removal, weld seam blending, and initial surface preparation before finishing passes.
This belt is intended for dry-use applications on wide belt sanders in metal fabrication, woodworking, and general industrial environments. At 10 inches wide and 70.5 inches long, it fits standard industrial-size wide belt machines common in production shops and fab facilities. Licensed trades and industrial maintenance technicians typically install these belts during routine machine servicing or when changing grits for a new workpiece material. The closed coat aluminum oxide construction performs well on ferrous metals, hardwoods, and composite materials where consistent scratch pattern and fast cut rate are priorities.
Designed as a standard replacement abrasive belt for industrial wide belt sanders accepting a 10-inch by 70.5-inch belt size.
Belt installation should be performed by a qualified machine operator or industrial maintenance technician with the sander powered down, locked out, and tagged per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify belt tracking and tension adjustment according to the machine manufacturer specifications before running the belt under load. Inspect the belt for tears, edge damage, or splice separation before each use. Do not exceed the machine speed rating marked on the belt or the machine nameplate.
