The TRU-MAXX 7000600-40 is a 6-inch PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) abrasive disc designed for aggressive material removal on metal, wood, and composites. It runs on a coarse 40-grit aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to an X-weight cloth backing, which provides the rigidity and durability needed for heavy stock removal and surface prep work. The flexible construction allows the disc to conform slightly to contoured surfaces without losing cutting efficiency. At 0.065 pounds per disc, it is a lightweight consumable used by fabricators, welders, and maintenance trades to knock down welds, remove rust, and strip coatings before finishing.

Installation Notes

Disc mounting and removal is performed by a qualified operator with the tool powered down and unplugged or the air supply disconnected. Press the PSA disc firmly onto a clean, dry backing pad, working from the center outward to eliminate air pockets. Do not exceed the RPM rating of the backing pad or grinder. Inspect the disc for tears or delamination before each use and discard damaged discs immediately.
