The TRU-MAXX 69957323834 is a 1-inch coated quick-change abrasive disc designed for surface finishing, blending, and material removal in fabrication and maintenance applications. It uses a zirconia alumina abrasive grain bonded to a cloth backing, which gives it durability and resistance to heat buildup during aggressive grinding. The 120-grit designation places it in the fine-grade range, making it well suited for finishing passes after initial stock removal. The Type S attaching system allows fast disc swaps on compatible quick-change holders without tools. Rated at 20,000 RPM maximum, it handles high-speed angle grinders and die grinders commonly used in metal fabrication and weld blending work.
This disc fits workflows that require a compact 1-inch abrasive for tight spaces, contoured surfaces, or light-duty finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The cloth backing provides flexibility for working on curved or irregular surfaces. The blue disc color and silver button are standard identifiers for this product line. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 100 units, making it appropriate for shop stock or tool crib restocking rather than single-unit procurement. Fabricators, maintenance mechanics, and metalworkers typically keep this grit size on hand for pre-paint surface prep and weld seam finishing.
Designed for use with Type S quick-change mandrels and holders on standard die grinders and right-angle grinders that accept 1-inch quick-change abrasive discs.
Installation requires a compatible Type S quick-change mandrel secured in a die grinder or angle grinder rated at or above the disc maximum RPM. Always verify the grinder spindle speed does not exceed 20,000 RPM before mounting. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace immediately if cracking, fraying, or delamination is observed. Eye protection and work gloves are required during operation per standard abrasive safety practices.
