The TRU-MAXX 69957323700 is a 1-1/2 inch quick-change abrasive disc designed for fast material removal and surface preparation on metal, weld seams, and similar substrates. The disc uses aluminum oxide abrasive grain rated at 60 grit, placing it in the medium grade range - suited for blending, deburring, and light stock removal. A heavy-duty cloth backing with X-weight construction supports the abrasive coat and handles the flex and pressure demands of handheld pneumatic or electric quick-change tools. The Type R attaching system allows tool-free disc swaps without an additional holder wrench, reducing downtime during production finishing work. Each unit weighs approximately 0.2 pounds and is rated to a maximum of 30,000 RPM.
This disc is intended for use with Type R quick-change disc holders on die grinders and angle grinders in metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and light industrial settings. The 1-1/2 inch diameter is well suited for tight access areas, inside corners, tube ends, and detailed weld prep where a larger disc cannot reach. The medium 60-grit cut rate makes it a practical choice for operators moving between rough shaping and pre-finishing steps without switching abrasive types. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces per order.
Designed for use with Type R quick-change disc holders on die grinders and handheld rotary tools rated at or below 30,000 RPM. Verify that the tool and holder assembly are rated to match the disc speed before installation.
Installation is performed by a qualified operator or tooling technician familiar with abrasive disc safety practices. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 30,000 RPM disc rating before mounting. Inspect the disc for cracks, chips, or delamination before each use and discard any damaged disc immediately. Follow ANSI B7.1 and applicable shop safety guidelines when operating abrasive tooling.
