The TRU-MAXX 66253292311 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal on surface grinders in industrial and machine shop environments. The wheel measures 8 inches in diameter and 3/4 inches thick with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole. It is manufactured from ceramic grain bonded with a vitrified bond system, yielding a consistent, free-cutting action suited to ferrous and hard material applications. At 46 grit with a K hardness code and medium hardness rating, this wheel falls in the coarse-to-medium range, making it appropriate for aggressive material removal where surface finish is secondary to stock removal rate. It is rated to a maximum of 3600 RPM.
This wheel is intended for use on horizontal-spindle reciprocating-table surface grinders common in tool rooms, production grinding cells, and maintenance shops. The vitrified bond provides good porosity control and thermal stability during prolonged grinding passes. The non-porous, blue wheel body with a grain structure of 6 suits applications where wheel breakdown rate must be controlled tightly. Licensed machinists and grinding specialists are the primary installers and operators of this wheel in both job-shop and production settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit grinding wheel for horizontal-spindle surface grinders accepting a Type 1 wheel with an 8 inch diameter, 3/4 inch face width, and 1-1/4 inch arbor bore.
Grinding wheel mounting must be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 standards. Always ring-test the wheel before mounting and inspect for cracks or chips. Mount using proper flanges and blotters, never exceed the rated 3600 RPM, and allow the wheel to run at operating speed behind a guard for at least one minute before contacting the workpiece. Disconnect and lockout the machine power before removing or installing any wheel.
