The TRU-MAXX 66253292305 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel engineered for precision flat grinding operations on horizontal and vertical spindle surface grinders. Built with a ceramic abrasive grain bonded in a vitrified matrix, this wheel delivers consistent stock removal and controlled cut rates suited to ferrous and specialty alloy workpieces. At 12 inches in diameter and 1-1/2 inches thick with a 5-inch arbor hole, it fits full-size production and toolroom surface grinders. The 46-grit, Coarse grade, I hardness rating positions it for aggressive material removal while maintaining dimensional control. Rated to 2705 RPM maximum operating speed.
This grinding wheel is intended for use in machine shops, toolrooms, and production grinding environments where surface flatness and finish are critical. It is well suited for surface grinding of steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials on reciprocating or rotary table surface grinders requiring a 5-inch bore. The vitrified bond provides good porosity control and coolant acceptance, making it practical for wet or dry surface grinding setups. Installation and wheel dressing are performed by qualified machinists or grinding specialists.
Designed as a replacement or production-run surface grinding wheel for horizontal or vertical spindle surface grinders accepting a 12-inch diameter, 5-inch bore, Type 1 straight wheel configuration.
Grinding wheel mounting must be performed by a qualified machinist following ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or chips using the ring test before mounting, and confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 2705 RPM maximum rating stamped on the wheel or listed in product documentation. Use proper flanges and blotters sized for the wheel bore, and run the wheel under guard at operating speed for at least one minute before bringing it into contact with the workpiece. Never modify the arbor hole or force the wheel onto a spindle.
