The TRU-MAXX 66253269742 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal on surface grinders in industrial and machine shop environments. It measures 8 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick, with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole. The wheel uses a ceramic abrasive grain bonded in a vitrified matrix, delivering consistent cut and thermal resistance across a range of ferrous and hard materials. At 46 grit with a Coarse grade and I hardness rating, it is suited for aggressive material removal where surface finish is secondary to throughput. Maximum operating speed is 3,105 RPM. The wheel is non-porous and non-tapered with no recess, conforming to standard Type 1 flat wheel geometry.
This grinding wheel is used on horizontal-spindle surface grinders in production machining, tool and die, and maintenance shops. The 46-grit ceramic construction performs well on hardened steels, cast iron, and similar hard workpiece materials where a coarser cut is acceptable. It is installed and dressed by machinists or toolroom technicians following standard wheel-mounting procedures. The blue wheel color and vitrified bond make it straightforward to identify and handle during wheel changes.
Designed as a standard Type 1 flat surface grinding wheel with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, suitable for horizontal-spindle surface grinders that accept an 8 inch diameter wheel at or below 3,105 RPM.
Wheel mounting must be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician following ANSI B11.9 and wheel manufacturer ring-test procedures before installation. Always power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels. Use correct blotter flanges and never exceed the 3,105 RPM maximum speed rating marked on the wheel. Dress the wheel with an appropriate diamond dresser before use to true the face and expose fresh abrasive grain.
