The TRU-MAXX 66253269722 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal and surface finishing on ferrous and hard materials. Built with a ceramic abrasive grain and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cut rates and long wheel life under repeated use. It measures 7 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thick, with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole for straightforward mounting on standard surface grinders. The 80 grit size and K hardness rating place this wheel in the medium grade range, suited to moderate material removal without excessive workpiece heat buildup. Maximum operating speed is 3600 RPM. Grinding technicians and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers and users of this wheel.
This wheel is a fit for surface grinder applications in machine shops, maintenance departments, and fabrication environments. Its Type 1 flat wheel geometry makes it appropriate for horizontal-spindle surface grinders where the wheel face contacts the workpiece. The 80 grit ceramic construction handles tool steel, die steel, and similar hard ferrous materials where a finer finish and controlled cut are required. The non-porous, vitrified bond structure supports cool, clean cutting action and resists loading on harder workpiece materials. It is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use grinding wheel for horizontal-spindle surface grinders accepting a Type 1 wheel with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole and a 7 inch diameter.
Grinding wheel mounting and dressing should be performed by a qualified machinist or grinding technician following ANSI B11.23 and OSHA 1910.215 safety standards. Before mounting, inspect the wheel for cracks or chips using the ring test procedure and confirm the spindle speed does not exceed the 3600 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel. Always use proper flanges, blotters, and a wheel guard rated for the wheel diameter. Power down and lockout the grinder before removing or installing any wheel.
