The TRU-MAXX 66253269695 is a Type 1 straight surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal on surface grinders in industrial and machine shop environments. The wheel measures 12 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick with a 3-inch arbor hole. It uses aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded in a vitrified bond matrix, producing a pink-colored wheel rated at 60 grit with an I hardness code and medium grade. The vitrified bond provides rigidity and open structure for efficient cutting on ferrous metals. Maximum operating speed is 2705 RPM. At 8 pounds, the wheel is suited for horizontal-spindle surface grinder applications requiring consistent, controlled material removal.
This grinding wheel is used in surface grinding operations on horizontal-spindle, reciprocating-table machines common in tool and die shops, maintenance grinding, and general metalworking. The 60 grit and medium grade make it appropriate for moderate stock removal while maintaining acceptable surface finish. Semi-friable aluminum oxide grain self-sharpens progressively during use, extending wheel life on a range of ferrous workpieces including alloy steels and tool steels. The 3-inch hole fits standard surface grinder spindle flanges for this wheel size class.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit surface grinding wheel for horizontal-spindle surface grinders accepting a 12-inch diameter, 1-inch thick, Type 1 straight wheel with a 3-inch arbor hole.
Grinding wheel mounting and dressing must be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 standards for abrasive wheel machinery. Before mounting, ring-test the wheel for cracks and verify the machine spindle speed does not exceed the wheel maximum RPM of 2705. Always use proper flanges of equal and correct diameter and install the wheel guard before operation. Never exceed the rated maximum speed and never use a wheel that has been dropped or shows visible damage.
