The TRU-MAXX 66253255614 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal and surface finishing on ferrous metals. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive grain and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cutting action and thermal stability under extended use. It measures 8 inches in diameter, 1/2 inch thick, with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, and carries an 80 grit rating for medium-fine material removal. The I hardness code indicates a soft-to-medium wheel grade that releases dull grains efficiently, maintaining cut rate without excessive heat buildup. Rated to 3600 RPM maximum. This wheel is suited for surface grinders used in machine shops, tool rooms, and industrial maintenance environments.
This wheel fits standard reciprocating and rotary surface grinders equipped with a 1-1/4 inch spindle arbor. The 80 grit aluminum oxide construction is well matched to grinding hardened steels, tool steels, and general-purpose ferrous workpieces where a balance of stock removal and surface finish is required. The vitrified bond provides a rigid, porous structure that resists loading and holds form under moderate grinding pressures. Typical applications include flat surface grinding, tool reconditioning, and precision part finishing in job shop and maintenance settings.
Designed as a replacement-style Type 1 surface grinding wheel for reciprocating and rotary surface grinders equipped with a 1-1/4 inch arbor and accommodating an 8 inch diameter wheel.
Grinding wheel installation and dressing should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance professional in accordance with ANSI B11.9 and applicable shop safety standards. Always power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing a wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use using the ring test; never mount a damaged wheel. Do not exceed the maximum operating speed marked on the wheel.
