The TRU-MAXX 66253255252 is a Type 1 bench and pedestal grinding wheel engineered for aggressive stock removal on ferrous metals and general shop grinding applications. Built with an aluminum oxide abrasive grain and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cutting action and shape retention through the full service life of the wheel. At 10 inches in diameter, 1 inch thick, and with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, it mounts directly to standard bench and pedestal grinders. The coarse 36-grit rating makes it well suited for rapid material removal, edge shaping, and weld cleanup. Maximum operating speed is 3,250 RPM. Installed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators.
This wheel is a standard fit for bench and pedestal grinders used in industrial maintenance, fabrication shops, tool and die rooms, and general metalworking environments. The coarse grit and medium hardness rating make it a practical choice for grinding carbon steel, alloy steel, and similar ferrous workpieces where fast stock removal takes priority over fine surface finish. It is not rated for aluminum, brass, or non-ferrous soft metals. The vitrified bond provides rigidity and porosity control, keeping the wheel free-cutting throughout the grind.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or stock grinding wheel for standard bench and pedestal grinders accepting a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole and a 10 inch diameter Type 1 wheel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with grinding wheel safety. Before mounting, power down and lockout the grinder per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 and confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 3,250 RPM maximum rating stamped on the wheel. Perform a ring test before mounting to check for cracks, and use the correct flanges and blotters supplied with the grinder. No bushing is included; verify arbor bore compatibility before installation.
