The TRU-MAXX 66243496700 is a Type 1 bench and pedestal grinding wheel engineered for general-purpose material removal and tool sharpening. Measuring 7 inches in diameter and 3/4 inches thick with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, this wheel is built around an aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded with a vitrified bond system. The 80-grit, medium-grade construction delivers consistent stock removal on ferrous metals, carbon steel, and similar workpiece materials. Rated to a maximum of 3600 RPM, it is sized for standard 7-inch bench grinders and pedestal grinder setups found in maintenance shops, fabrication facilities, and trade service bays. Installation and operation require no bushing, as none is included in the package.
This grinding wheel is suited for use on bench grinders and pedestal grinders in industrial, commercial, and trade shop environments. Typical applications include sharpening lathe tools, drill bits, chisels, and punches, as well as light deburring and surface conditioning of steel parts. The 80-grit medium grade makes it a practical general-purpose choice where moderate material removal rates and reasonable surface finish are both needed. The vitrified bond provides good wheel rigidity and consistent cutting action across a broad range of tool steel and mild steel applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard consumable for 7-inch bench grinders and pedestal grinders accepting a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole. No bushing is included; reducer bushings may be required for grinders with smaller spindle diameters.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician following all applicable ANSI B11.9 and OSHA grinding safety standards. Power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing any wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips using the ring test before installation, and never operate above the marked maximum RPM. Flanges must be clean, flat, and the correct diameter for this wheel size; blotter washers should be used between flanges and the wheel face.
