The TRIPP LITE SRW9UDP is a 9U low-profile, switch-depth wall mount rack enclosure designed for network and communications equipment installations where space is limited. Built to house switches, patch panels, and similar shallow-depth gear, this enclosure mounts directly to a wall surface to keep equipment organized and secure without consuming floor space. It is suited for IT closets, server rooms, and distributed network deployments in both residential and commercial settings. Licensed network technicians, structured cabling contractors, and IT infrastructure professionals are the primary installers of this unit.
This enclosure is well matched to environments where a full-depth floor-standing rack is impractical. Its low-profile, switch-depth design accommodates the shorter chassis depth common in unmanaged and managed network switches, wireless access point controllers, and patch panel assemblies. Typical installations include telecom closets, retail back-office areas, educational facilities, and small-to-medium business server rooms where wall-mounted organization is preferred over dedicated rack rooms.
Designed as an OEM-style wall mount enclosure suitable for standard 19-inch rack-mountable network and communications equipment with shallow chassis depths typical of network switches and patch panels.
Installation should be performed by a qualified network technician or structured cabling contractor familiar with wall mount hardware and local building codes. Verify that the mounting surface, whether drywall with blocking, concrete, or structural wood, is rated to support the combined weight of the enclosure and all installed equipment before fastening. Power down all equipment before installing or removing devices within the enclosure. Follow applicable codes, including NFPA 70 (NEC) for any electrical connections made within or adjacent to the enclosure.
