The TRIPP LITE SRSHELF2P1USHRT is a 1U rackmount shelf designed to support equipment inside standard open-frame or enclosed server racks. It provides a fixed, stable platform for mounting devices that do not have native rack ears, including AV components, patch panels, small UPS units, and surge protection equipment. The shelf mounts in standard EIA 19-inch rack rails and is built for use in data centers, server rooms, telecommunications closets, and industrial control environments. Installation is straightforward for any IT technician or low-voltage installer working with standard rack infrastructure.
This shelf is suited for enterprise and commercial rack deployments where additional horizontal mounting surface is needed. It fits into the enterprise surge protection and power distribution category, making it a practical solution when housing PDUs, surge suppressors, or similar rack-mounted devices that require a flat support surface. The short depth profile helps preserve airflow and usable rack space in densely populated cabinets.
Designed as an OEM-style accessory shelf for use with standard EIA 19-inch open-frame and enclosed server racks in enterprise and commercial installations.
A licensed low-voltage technician or qualified IT installer should mount this shelf following the rack manufacturer's guidelines and applicable TIA-942 or local data center standards. Power down and de-energize any adjacent active equipment before working inside the rack enclosure. Use the appropriate cage nuts, screws, or rails specified for the rack system to ensure secure seating. Do not exceed the shelf's rated load capacity.
