The TRIPP LITE N846D-01M-24AAQ is a 24-fiber MPO trunk cable designed for high-density fiber optic infrastructure in enterprise and data center environments. This female-to-female MPO cable spans 1 meter (approximately 39.4 inches) and supports structured cabling deployments where pre-terminated trunk assemblies are used to interconnect patch panels, fiber cassettes, and backbone switching equipment. The polarity Type A configuration makes it straightforward to plan and document in standard parallel optic layouts. Licensed electricians and low-voltage cabling technicians are the primary installers of this assembly.
This trunk cable is well suited for inside-plant horizontal and backbone runs in enterprise network closets, data halls, and co-location facilities. Its compact 1-meter length targets short inter-rack and intra-rack connections where precise fiber management and minimal slack are required. The 24-fiber count supports 100G and 400G parallel optic transceiver applications commonly found in spine-leaf and hyperscale switching architectures. Type A polarity alignment is compatible with standard MPO-to-LC breakout cassettes used throughout structured fiber systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit trunk cable for MPO-based fiber distribution systems using 24-fiber female MPO connectors with Type A polarity in enterprise and data center structured cabling installations.
Installation is performed by low-voltage cabling technicians or licensed electricians in accordance with TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Before routing, verify that MPO connector ferrules are clean and free of contamination using an approved fiber inspection tool. Never bend the cable beyond its minimum bend radius, and avoid pinching or over-cinching cable management ties across the fiber jacket. Confirm polarity Type A compatibility with the connected cassettes and transceivers before placing the link into service.
