The TRIPP LITE N820X-10M-OM4 is a switchable LC to LC duplex multimode fiber optic patch cable built to OM4 specification. It is designed for high-density structured cabling environments where polarity flexibility is required without the need to replace cables or connectors. At 10 meters in length, this patch cable supports high-bandwidth data transmission between active equipment in server rooms, data centers, and enterprise network closets. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling installers are the primary trade installing this type of cable.
This patch cable is suited for enterprise network infrastructure applications including switch-to-switch interconnects, switch-to-server links, and patch panel cross-connects. OM4 multimode fiber supports 40 Gigabit and 100 Gigabit Ethernet applications over appropriate distances. The switchable connector design is particularly useful in high-density installations where polarity management across MPO and LC-based systems is a routine requirement.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fiber patch cable for enterprise LC-based fiber infrastructure using OM4 multimode optics.
Installation is performed by licensed low-voltage technicians or certified network cabling professionals. Power down or place active transceivers in a safe state before connecting or disconnecting fiber patch cables to prevent optical exposure hazards. Clean fiber end-faces with an appropriate fiber optic cleaning tool before seating connectors to avoid signal loss from contamination.
