The TRIPP LITE N272-060-WH is a Cat8 shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed network infrastructure installations. Cat8 cabling supports 40 Gigabit data transmission rates, making it well suited for demanding enterprise and data center environments where bandwidth and signal integrity are critical. The foiled twisted pair (FTP) shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, maintaining stable signal quality across the full 60-foot run. Network technicians and structured cabling installers typically deploy this cable for backbone connections, server-to-switch links, and patch runs in high-density environments.
This cable is used in enterprise network buildouts, data centers, and server rooms where high-bandwidth backbone cabling is required. The 60-foot length accommodates mid-distance runs between network equipment racks, patch panels, and switching hardware. It is appropriate for both new construction structured cabling projects and retrofit upgrades to existing network infrastructure where Cat6a or Cat7 no longer meets throughput requirements.
Designed for use in enterprise and data center network infrastructure as an OEM-style Cat8 FTP patch or backbone cable compatible with standard 8P8C RJ45 network ports and patch panels rated for Cat8.
Installation should be performed by a qualified network technician or structured cabling installer familiar with TIA-568 cabling standards. Power down or disconnect active network equipment before replacing existing cable runs. Avoid sharp bends or kinks that exceed the cable minimum bend radius, as these can degrade shielding effectiveness and signal performance. Secure cable runs with appropriate cable management hardware and maintain separation from high-voltage electrical conduit where possible.
