The TRIPP LITE N238-001-GY-TF is a single-port keystone jack designed for terminating Cat6a and Cat5e structured cabling installations. This insert mounts into standard keystone-compatible wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount boxes, providing a reliable RJ45 termination point for horizontal cable runs. It is sold as a single unit and is suited for data cabling work in commercial and residential structured wiring projects. Network technicians and low-voltage electricians use this jack to terminate field-run cable at workstation outlets or consolidation points.
This keystone jack is used in structured cabling systems where Cat6a or Cat5e cable is run to workstation locations, telecommunications rooms, or equipment enclosures. It fits into any standard keystone-compatible wall plate or patch panel cutout. Typical installations include office networks, data centers, hospitality wiring, and school or commercial campus cabling projects where modular, field-terminated connectivity is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation insert compatible with standard keystone-format wall plates, surface-mount boxes, and patch panels accepting 568-style keystone jacks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician or licensed electrician in accordance with TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Power down any active equipment connected to the run before terminating. Use a 110-style punch-down tool for wire termination and follow the color-code diagram printed on the jack body. Do not over-bend cable at the termination point, as exceeding the minimum bend radius can degrade Cat6a performance.
