The TRIPP LITE N226-01K-BL is a 1000-foot bulk spool of Category 8 shielded twisted pair (SFTP) network cable designed for high-density enterprise data infrastructure installations. Cat8 cable supports data transfer rates and frequencies well beyond those of Cat6A, making it suitable for 25GBase-T and 40GBase-T applications in demanding network environments. The SFTP construction combines individually shielded twisted pairs with an overall foil shield, providing robust protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk. Network technicians and low-voltage installers pull this cable through conduit, cable trays, and structured wiring pathways during new construction or infrastructure upgrades.
This bulk cable is intended for enterprise data centers, server rooms, telecommunications closets, and high-performance LAN backbone runs where Cat8 rated performance is required. The 1000-foot spool length is standard for structured cabling projects where field-terminated runs are cut to length and terminated with Cat8-compatible keystone jacks or patch panel ports. The blue jacket aids with cable identification and pathway management in multi-cable installations.
Designed for use in enterprise structured cabling systems requiring Cat8-rated performance; compatible with Cat8-rated keystone jacks, patch panels, and RJ45 termination hardware that meet the Cat8 channel specification.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage cabling contractor or qualified network technician in accordance with ANSI/TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Power down or de-energize any adjacent active equipment before pulling cable through shared conduit or cable trays. Use appropriate pulling tension limits for the cable gauge to avoid damaging the foil shield during the pull. Maintain minimum bend radius specifications to preserve signal integrity at the termination points.
