The TRENDNET TPE-BG5091 is a 9-port 2.5G PoE++ network switch built with Gallium Nitride (GaN) power technology. GaN-based power delivery runs more efficiently and at lower operating temperatures than traditional silicon-based designs, making it well suited for high-density PoE deployments where thermal management matters. Each port supports 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, providing roughly 2.5 times the throughput of standard Gigabit infrastructure. The PoE++ (802.3bt) standard enables high-wattage device powering over a single Ethernet cable.
