The TRENDNET TEW-923DAP is a dual band WiFi 6 (802.11ax) PoE+ wireless access point rated at AX3000 aggregate throughput. It is designed for network infrastructure deployments where high-density wireless coverage, improved spectral efficiency, and Power over Ethernet convenience are required. The unit draws power directly from a PoE+ switch or injector, eliminating the need for a dedicated power run. IT professionals, network installers, and low-voltage contractors install this hardware in commercial, educational, and multi-unit environments where wired backhaul and ceiling or wall mounting are standard practice.
The TEW-923DAP fits deployments that require centrally managed wireless access points fed by structured cabling. It is suited for open office spaces, retail floors, warehouses, and similar environments where a single unit needs to serve a defined coverage zone. The AX3000 classification reflects combined 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio throughput under WiFi 6 specifications, delivering improved performance over prior WiFi 5 access points in congested wireless environments.
Designed as an OEM-style ceiling or wall mount wireless access point compatible with PoE+ (802.3at) capable switches and injectors in standard network infrastructure installations.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed low-voltage or network cabling contractor. The access point must be connected to a switch port or midspan injector that delivers 802.3at PoE+ power. De-energize the switch port before connecting or disconnecting the Ethernet run. Follow TIA-568 structured cabling standards and local building codes for cable routing and penetrations.
