The TRANSITION NETWORKS CWDM-M1631LCR-B is a 16-channel coarse wavelength-division multiplexing (CWDM) multiplexer and demultiplexer operating at a center wavelength of 1310 nm. This passive optical device combines or separates multiple optical signals across 16 discrete CWDM channels on a single fiber strand, reducing fiber infrastructure requirements without active power components. Network engineers and fiber optic technicians install this unit in carrier, enterprise, and data center environments where maximizing fiber capacity is critical. Its passive design means no power supply is required, simplifying rack integration and improving long-term reliability.
The CWDM-M1631LCR-B is suited for deployment in metropolitan area networks (MANs), enterprise backbone links, and data center interconnects that rely on CWDM technology to transport multiple independent wavelengths over existing single-mode fiber plant.
