The TRANE yj-49974 is a 4-valve Titan A2L refrigerant manifold designed for use with mildly flammable A2L refrigerants including R32, R454B, and R410A. The 4-valve configuration gives HVAC technicians independent control over high-side and low-side service ports as well as dedicated refrigerant hose management, which reduces cross-contamination risk during service procedures. This manifold is built for field use by licensed HVAC technicians working on systems charged with next-generation low-GWP refrigerants as the industry transitions away from legacy refrigerants.
This manifold is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC service work involving split systems, heat pumps, and packaged units charged with R32, R454B, or R410A. As equipment manufacturers roll out A2L-compatible systems, technicians need manifolds rated and designed for mildly flammable refrigerants. The yj-49974 addresses that requirement with a 4-valve layout that supports both legacy R410A service and newer A2L refrigerant handling in a single tool.
Compatible with R32, R454B, and R410A refrigerants as stated by the manufacturer. Intended for use with HVAC systems charged with these refrigerants including A2L-rated split systems, heat pumps, and packaged units.
Installation and use of this manifold should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician with EPA Section 608 certification and appropriate A2L refrigerant handling training. Because R32 and R454B are classified as mildly flammable A2L refrigerants, follow all applicable safety protocols regarding ignition sources and ventilation during service. Power down and lock out the system before connecting or disconnecting service hoses. Always verify hose fittings are rated for the refrigerant in use before beginning any recovery, evacuation, or charging procedure.
