The Trane A5PG3060A1115 is a single packaged gas heating and electric cooling unit rated at 5 tons of cooling capacity and 115,000 BTU/h of first-stage heating output. It operates on R-454B refrigerant and achieves a 13.4 SEER2 efficiency rating, making it compliant with current federal minimum efficiency standards. The unit runs on 208-230 volt single-phase 60 Hz power and uses a constant torque ECM indoor fan motor for reliable, variable airflow delivery. This is a self-contained, all-in-one system where the gas heat exchanger, cooling coil, compressor, and air handler are housed in a single cabinet. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this equipment.
The A5PG3060A1115 is designed for residential and light commercial applications where a single rooftop or ground-level packaged unit is required. Its convertible, multiposition design supports multiple installation orientations, including horizontal return air configurations. The unit is appropriate for new construction builds and direct replacement of existing packaged gas-electric systems of similar tonnage. The indoor fan assembly uses a direct-drive ECM with four selectable speeds and an 11.87-inch by 10.62-inch wheel diameter and width.
Part of the Trane A5PG3060 single packaged gas-electric product family, which includes the A5PG3024A1060A, A5PG3030A1070A, A5PG3036A1070A, A5PG3042A1090A, and A5PG3048A1090A. Compatible with Trane motorized outside air damper accessories BAYDMPR101 and BAYDMPR102A for horizontal return air applications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding the appropriate EPA Section 608 certification for handling refrigerants. Shut off all electrical power to the unit at the disconnect before beginning any service or installation work. Because this unit uses R-454B, a mildly flammable (A2L) refrigerant, follow current ASHRAE 15 and local code requirements regarding equipment placement and leak detection. Consult the Trane installation manual for required clearances, gas line sizing, and flue venting requirements before commissioning.
