The Trane A5AC4048A1000 is a 4-ton single-stage residential air conditioner condensing unit rated at 48,000 BTU/h and 14.3 SEER2. Part of the RunTru by Trane product line, this outdoor unit uses R-454B refrigerant and is designed for split-system central cooling applications. It is factory-charged with the refrigerant required for the outdoor unit, 10 feet of tested connecting line, and the smallest rated indoor evaporative coil match. The unit is built to operate at outdoor ambient temperatures up to 115 degrees F and is certified to UL 60335-2-40. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as part of a matched split-system configuration.
This condensing unit is intended for residential central air conditioning installations. It pairs with AHRI-certified air handlers and furnace coils, allowing a wide range of matched indoor equipment options. The A5AC4048A1000 is suited for new construction and replacement installations where a single-stage, R-454B-compatible outdoor unit is required. Do not install in locations with salt air exposure, petroleum vapors, or other corrosive atmospheres.
