The Trane A5AC4036A1000 is a 3-ton, single-stage outdoor air conditioner condensing unit from the RunTru by Trane product line. It delivers 36,000 BTU/h of cooling capacity at 14.3 SEER2 efficiency and operates on R-454B refrigerant, a lower global warming potential alternative to R-410A. Rated for outdoor ambient temperatures up to 115 degrees F, this unit is built for reliable residential cooling in demanding climates. The unit ships factory-charged with refrigerant for the outdoor section plus 10 feet of tested connecting line and the smallest rated indoor evaporative coil match. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning.
The A5AC4036A1000 is designed for residential split-system cooling applications. It pairs with a separate indoor air handler or furnace coil to form a complete split system. Cooling capacities are matched with a wide selection of AHRI-certified air handlers and furnace coils. The unit is certified to UL 60335-2-40 and is suitable for standard single-stage thermostat control. Typical installations are in single-family residential settings where a cost-effective, code-compliant AC-only condenser is needed.
Designed for use with AHRI-certified indoor air handlers and furnace coils in residential split-system configurations. Specific matched indoor units must be verified through AHRI or Trane RunTru system match documentation for rated efficiency confirmation.
Installation must be performed by an EPA 608-certified HVAC technician familiar with R-454B refrigerant handling procedures. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before making any wiring or refrigerant connections. Follow all applicable local mechanical and electrical codes, including NEC requirements for disconnect sizing and wiring methods. Do not operate the unit below the rated minimum ambient cooling range of 55 degrees F.
