The TRANE YHC120F4RHA0D4J is a commercial packaged rooftop unit (RTU) combining direct-expansion (DX) cooling with gas heat in a single self-contained cabinet. Rated at 10 nominal cooling tons, this gas-pack RTU operates on 460V 3-phase power and is designed for commercial rooftop applications where both heating and cooling are required from one unit. A licensed HVAC technician or mechanical contractor handles installation, commissioning, and startup. The integrated gas heat section eliminates the need for a separate furnace or heat pump, reducing mechanical room requirements and simplifying the overall system layout.
This unit is suited for light commercial and commercial applications such as retail spaces, office buildings, warehouses, and similar low-rise structures requiring centralized rooftop HVAC. The 460V 3-phase electrical configuration makes it appropriate for commercial buildings with three-phase service. DX cooling uses a refrigerant circuit to deliver sensible and latent cooling capacity across the served zones. Gas heat provides fast-response warmth during heating season without relying on outdoor ambient conditions the way a heat pump would.
Designed as an OEM packaged gas-heat DX cooling rooftop unit for commercial HVAC applications requiring 10-ton cooling capacity and 460V 3-phase power.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor in accordance with applicable mechanical codes including ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and the National Electrical Code (NEC) for electrical connections. Shut off all electrical supply at the disconnect before performing any service or wiring work. Refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification. Structural roof curb attachment, duct connections, gas line sizing, and flue venting must meet local jurisdiction requirements before unit startup.
