The TRAEGER PELLET GRILLS LLC RTU-MT-MP01 is a wireless smart meat thermometer designed for monitoring internal and ambient cooking temperatures without tethered probes or manual checks. The probe measures both internal meat temperature and ambient grill temperature simultaneously, feeding data to the MEATER App, which tracks cook progress and estimates remaining cook time. Built from stainless steel and ceramic, the probe is durable enough for high-heat cooking environments and is water-resistant and dishwasher-safe for straightforward cleanup. A single charge supports up to 24 hours of continuous cooking. Pitmasters, grill technicians, and serious cooking professionals install this unit for remote monitoring across a wireless range of up to 165 feet.
The RTU-MT-MP01 is intended for use with pellet grills, smokers, and conventional grills where remote temperature monitoring improves cook consistency. The magnetized charging dock is designed to attach directly to a grill hopper for integrated storage when not in use. An LED indicator on the charging dock displays remaining battery life so users can confirm readiness before a cook begins. Temperature readings are displayed in both Fahrenheit and Celsius through the MEATER App, making it suitable for residential and light commercial cooking setups where precision and convenience are required.
Designed for use with pellet grills and smokers that support the MEATER App ecosystem. Functions with any grill or smoker where wireless probe monitoring is applicable.
Insert the probe fully into the meat before placing it on the cooking surface, ensuring the safe-zone mark remains exposed above the food. Pair the probe with the MEATER App via Bluetooth before beginning a cook. Attach the magnetized charging dock to the grill hopper or a compatible metal surface for secure storage between uses. Keep the probe clear of open flame contact and do not leave it submerged in liquid during operation.
