The TRAEGER PELLET GRILLS LLC BAC627 is a foil-backed, heat-resistant insulation blanket designed for the Pro Series 780 pellet grill. It wraps the exterior of the grill to reduce heat loss in cold weather, helping the unit maintain consistent cooking temperatures while consuming fewer wood pellets. This accessory is intended for use by outdoor cooking equipment technicians, grill service pros, and experienced end users performing seasonal maintenance or cold-weather operation upgrades. The blanket is rated for use only when cooking at or below 350 degrees F and is intended for ambient temperatures at or below 32 degrees F.
This insulation blanket is used in residential outdoor settings where cold ambient temperatures reduce pellet grill efficiency. It is specifically designed for the Pro Series 780 platform and fits the grill body to minimize thermal loss during low-temperature cooking sessions. By retaining heat within the cooking chamber, the blanket reduces pellet consumption and supports more consistent cook results in winter conditions. It is not a year-round accessory and must be removed for high-heat cooking applications.
Designed for use with Pro Series 780 pellet grills, including models TV 247258 and TV 247259.
Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified outdoor equipment technician or knowledgeable end user. Ensure the grill is fully cooled and powered off before fitting or removing the blanket. Do not operate the grill above 350 degrees F while the blanket is installed, as exceeding this limit creates a fire and damage risk. Remove the blanket entirely before any high-heat cook cycles or when ambient temperatures are above 32 degrees F.
