The TRAEGER PELLET GRILLS LLC BAC523 is a pellet level monitoring sensor designed for compatible Traeger D2 WiFire-enabled pellet grills. It tracks the amount of pellets remaining in the hopper and sends low-level alerts directly through the Traeger app, allowing operators to manage fuel supply without manually checking the grill. The sensor integrates wirelessly with the Traeger app over an existing WiFire connection. Each unit ships with the sensor, mounting hardware, and a wiring pigtail for a complete installation. At 2.75 pounds, the kit is compact and purpose-built for direct OEM-style fitment.
This sensor is intended for residential outdoor cooking equipment, specifically Traeger pellet grills running the D2 WiFire platform. It is suited for backyard grillers and outdoor cooking professionals who run extended cooks and need timely fuel level notifications. Compatible models include the Pro 575, Pro 780, Ironwood 650, and Ironwood 885 pellet grills. This is not compatible with non-WiFire or non-D2 Traeger platforms. Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with the Traeger grill architecture and basic wiring connections.
Compatible with Traeger D2 WiFire-enabled grills only, including the Pro 575, Pro 780, Ironwood 650, and Ironwood 885 pellet grills (TV 247255, 247256, 262354, 247258, 247259, 262355). Not compatible with Traeger grills outside the D2 WiFire platform.
Installation is typically performed by the grill owner or a qualified outdoor equipment technician familiar with Traeger D2 WiFire systems. Before beginning, power down the grill and disconnect it from any electrical source. Secure the sensor using the included mounting hardware and connect the wiring pigtail per the grill manufacturer's wiring layout. Pair the sensor to the Traeger app following the in-app setup procedure after physical installation is complete.
