The TOTALINE p530-2456 is a universal thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) designed for R-22 refrigerant systems rated from 4.5 to 6 tons. It meters refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil, maintaining optimal superheat to protect the compressor and maximize system efficiency. Balance-ported construction stabilizes operation across varying load conditions. A built-in check valve makes the unit suitable for both air conditioning and heat pump applications. Externally adjustable superheat allows field tuning without replacing the valve.
