The TORO O-5-QP is a pressure-compensating (PC) precision nozzle designed for drip and micro-irrigation systems. It delivers a consistent, calibrated output at a 5-foot radius with a 90-degree arc pattern and a female inlet connection. The pressure-compensating design maintains uniform flow across a range of inlet pressures, making it well-suited for installations where pressure variation along a lateral line is a concern. Licensed irrigation technicians and landscape contractors install this nozzle as part of low-volume drip systems on residential and commercial properties.
This nozzle is used in low-volume drip and micro-spray irrigation systems where precise water delivery is required. The 90-degree arc pattern makes it appropriate for corner planting zones, edges of planting beds, or areas where a quarter-circle coverage pattern is needed. The female connection allows direct attachment to standard micro-irrigation fittings and stakes. It is commonly deployed in residential landscape, commercial groundscover, and turf-edge applications.
Designed as an OEM-style component for use in TORO low-volume micro-irrigation systems with standard female-threaded micro-spray fittings and stakes.
Installation is performed by licensed irrigators or qualified landscape irrigation technicians. Shut off the irrigation zone valve and depressurize the lateral line before removing or installing any nozzle. Thread the female connection onto the appropriate micro-spray stake or riser by hand, then verify with a brief pressurized run to confirm arc pattern and output. Follow local irrigation and water-use codes for system design and backflow prevention requirements.
