The TORO 2711APR is a 3/4-inch plastic anti-siphon valve designed for residential and light commercial irrigation systems. Anti-siphon valves combine zone control with backflow prevention in a single body, stopping contaminated water from back-flowing into the potable supply line. This valve is installed at the zone level, downstream of the main irrigation supply, and is typically set by a licensed irrigator or plumbing contractor. The plastic body keeps weight low and resists corrosion in direct-burial and above-ground installations.
This valve is suited for in-ground sprinkler systems and drip irrigation zones where local codes require backflow protection at the zone. It handles standard residential water pressures and is actuated by a 24-volt AC solenoid signal from an irrigation controller. The 3/4-inch port size makes it appropriate for moderate-flow zones covering lawn spray heads or rotor circuits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install anti-siphon zone valve for residential and light commercial irrigation systems using 3/4-inch supply lines and 24-volt AC controllers.
Anti-siphon valves must be installed a minimum height above the highest sprinkler head in the zone as required by local plumbing code — verify the required height before roughing in. Shut off the main irrigation supply and relieve system pressure before removing or replacing any valve. Low-voltage wiring connections to the solenoid should follow the irrigation controller manufacturer's wiring diagram and comply with applicable local codes. This valve is intended for installation by a licensed irrigator, plumber, or qualified irrigation technician.
