The TORO 220-26-74 is a brass electric globe valve designed for automated fluid control in irrigation and water management systems. Operating on 24 volts AC, it uses a solenoid-actuated globe-style body to open and close water flow on command from a controller or timer. The all-brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in both above-ground and in-line installations. At 1 inch in port size, it handles flow volumes typical of residential and light commercial irrigation zones. This valve is installed by irrigation technicians and licensed plumbers working on low-voltage automated systems.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial irrigation systems where 24 VAC zone control is required. The globe-style body is appropriate for applications where flow direction is consistent and controlled shutoff is needed at each zone. It is compatible with standard 24 VAC irrigation controllers and timers commonly used across residential landscape and turf systems. The 1-inch port size fits standard schedule 40 PVC and threaded brass fittings used in irrigation distribution lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for 1-inch 24 VAC electric globe valves used in residential and light commercial irrigation control systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified irrigation technician or licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and de-energize the irrigation controller before removing or installing the valve. Low-voltage wiring connections to the solenoid should comply with NEC guidelines for class 2 circuits. Do not exceed the rated operating pressure for the valve as specified by the manufacturer.
