The TORK S22-8V-S is a vinyl insulated spade terminal designed for secure, low-voltage wire terminations in electrical panel work, control wiring, and equipment connections. Rated for 300 volts and a temperature range up to 75 degrees C, this standard-type terminal accepts conductors from 22 AWG minimum to 18 AWG maximum. The open tongue end allows rapid insertion onto a mounting screw or free-standing stud. The electro tin plated copper construction provides reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. Electricians, control panel builders, and HVAC technicians regularly use this style of terminal when terminating light-gauge conductors to threaded studs or screw terminals on timers, relays, and control components.
This spade terminal is suited for residential and light commercial electrical applications where a No. 8 stud connection is required. Typical use cases include control board wiring, timer connections, relay bases, and similar low-current signal or power circuits using 22 to 18 AWG wire. The red color coding identifies it as compatible with the 22-18 AWG conductor range per standard terminal color coding conventions. Each standard package contains 25 terminals, making it practical for service kits and panel-build work where multiple terminations are needed at once.
Designed as a standard OEM-style spade terminal for use with No. 8 stud connections on control boards, timers, relays, and similar electrical components accepting 22 to 18 AWG vinyl-insulated terminations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or trained technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize all circuits before making or removing terminal connections. Use a proper ratchet-style crimping tool rated for vinyl insulated terminals to ensure a secure crimp; do not use pliers or non-rated tools. Verify conductor size falls within the 22-18 AWG range before crimping to maintain a safe, code-compliant connection.
