The TOOL-FLO 9HTF73 is a TF-style Flo-Lock clamp designed to secure indexable inserts in compatible turning toolholders. Part of the Flo-Lock series, this clamp uses a wedge-lock clamping principle to hold cutting inserts firmly against the insert seat during turning operations. It is used by machinists and tool crib technicians working with TOOL-FLO Flo-Lock style toolholder bodies. The clamp supports both left-hand and right-hand cutting directions, making it a single SKU that covers bidirectional turning setups. Weighing just 0.01 pounds, it is a small but critical component for maintaining insert positioning and surface finish consistency.
This clamp is intended for use in production turning environments, job shops, and maintenance operations where indexable insert toolholders are the standard. It fits a defined set of Flo-Lock toolholder styles and complete toolholder assemblies as specified by the manufacturer. Typical users include CNC lathe operators and tool room technicians who replace worn or damaged clamps during routine insert changeouts or toolholder reconditioning. The 9HTF73 is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of one piece.
Compatible with the following toolholder styles: A_-FLEL, A_M-FLER, FLER, FLRR, FLSL, H-FLER, HS-FLER, and H_M-FLER. Confirmed complete toolholder compatibility includes: A16-FLER/L, A20-FLER/L, A28-FLER/L, A32-FLER/L, FL.R/L 123B, FL.R/L 16.D, and FL.R/L 20.D. Industry standard number: TF-73.
This clamp is installed by a machinist or tool room technician during insert indexing or toolholder reconditioning. Power down and lock out the CNC lathe or turning center before removing or installing any clamp component. Use the correct torque wrench and clamp screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer - do not overtighten, as this can crack the insert or damage the clamp seat. Inspect the clamp seat and insert pocket for chips or debris before seating the replacement clamp.
