The TITEBOND 5262 is a heavy duty construction adhesive formulated for demanding job site conditions, including applications involving wet, frozen, or pressure-treated lumber. Packaged in a 28 oz cartridge, it bonds a broad range of materials — metal, brick, concrete, ceramics, and most large panel-type substrates. The adhesive fills gaps and irregularities between surfaces, creates a solid backup layer, and remains permanently flexible after cure. It delivers excellent water resistance and exceeds the APA AFG-01 specification for construction adhesives. General contractors, framers, and finish carpenters use this product across residential and light commercial work.
This adhesive is suited for a wide range of structural and finish applications: subfloor and panel installation, masonry bonding, and metal-to-substrate attachment. It reduces the number of fasteners needed and helps eliminate squeaky floors when applied to subfloor panels before nailing or screwing. It performs in exterior and interior environments where moisture exposure is a concern. Note: this product cannot be used on foamboard substrates. Color is light tan, which blends with common wood and masonry tones. Cleanup requires mineral spirits or an equivalent solvent.
Designed for use on lumber (including wet, frozen, and treated), metal, brick, concrete, ceramics, and most large panel-type substrates. Not compatible with foamboard.
This product is applied using a standard caulking gun sized for a 28 oz cartridge. Work in a well-ventilated area — the adhesive is extremely flammable, so keep away from open flames, sparks, and ignition sources during application. Apply to clean, structurally sound surfaces for best adhesion. Clean tools and excess adhesive immediately with mineral spirits or an equivalent solvent before the adhesive cures.
