The TITAN USA TT75408 is a straight flute hand tap designed for cutting 1/4-20 UNC internal threads in through-holes and blind holes requiring a bottoming chamfer. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and reduced friction compared to uncoated HSS taps. The bottoming chamfer geometry allows threading to within a few threads of the bottom of a blind hole. With 4 flutes and an H3 thread limit, this tap suits both 2B and 3B class-of-fit applications. Overall length is 2.5 inches with a 1-inch thread length.
