The TITAN USA TR96819 is a cobalt chucking reamer designed to finish-ream holes to precise tolerances in ferrous and tough alloy materials. With a 1/4 inch (0.2500 inch decimal) cutting diameter, 6 inch overall length, and 1-1/2 inch flute length, this tool delivers accurate hole sizing in drill press, lathe, and CNC applications. The six-flute spiral configuration with right-hand spiral direction provides smooth material removal and consistent surface finish. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals reach for cobalt reamers when working materials that would wear down standard high-speed steel tooling faster than acceptable cycle times allow.
This reamer is suited for production and job-shop environments where hole tolerance and finish quality are critical. The straight shank mounts directly into drill chucks, collet holders, or floating reamer holders without adapters. It is appropriate for use in both manual and CNC setups where the operator needs reliable dimensional accuracy on through-holes and blind holes in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. The uncoated finish allows resharpening by qualified tool grinders, extending service life across multiple regrinds.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement chucking reamer for use in standard drill press, lathe tailstock, and CNC machining center setups requiring a straight-shank reamer in 1/4 inch diameter.
Installation and use of this reamer should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with proper speeds, feeds, and cutting fluid application for cobalt tooling. Secure the straight shank firmly in the chuck or collet holder before operation and verify runout with a dial indicator when tolerance is critical. Always shut down the machine spindle completely before changing or inspecting tooling. Do not use this reamer for material removal beyond its rated application — reamers are finishing tools and are not substitutes for drills.
