The TITAN USA TR96093 is a high-speed steel (HSS) chucking reamer designed to finish-ream drilled or bored holes to precise tolerances in metalworking applications. Part of the TR96 series, it measures 0.1890 inches in diameter with a tolerance of +0.0002 to -0.0000 inches, making it suited for close-tolerance hole sizing. The reamer features a 4.5-inch overall length and a 1.125-inch straight flute length. Six straight flutes cut in a right-hand direction, delivering smooth, accurate finishes. The bright, uncoated HSS construction handles a wide range of common workpiece materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this reamer in drill presses, lathes, and CNC machining centers using a standard chuck.
This chucking reamer is intended for general-purpose reaming in machine shop, manufacturing, and maintenance environments. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in drill chucks and collets, making it easy to set up on standard equipment. The 0.1890-inch diameter corresponds to a Number 12 wire gauge drill size, a common reference point when reaming holes initially opened with a Number 12 twist drill. It is suitable for reaming ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a close-tolerance, smooth bore finish is required. No coolant-through capability is built in, so flood or mist cooling applied externally is the standard approach for most machine operations.
Designed as a standard chucking reamer for use in drill presses, engine lathes, turret lathes, and CNC machining centers equipped with a drill chuck or collet capable of accepting a 0.1805-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Chucking reamers are installed and serviced by machinists and tool-room professionals. Before mounting, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully and evenly in the chuck or collet before tightening to prevent runout. Always apply appropriate cutting fluid or coolant externally during the reaming operation to extend tool life and maintain surface finish quality.
