The TITAN USA TR94901 is a chucking reamer designed to finish-size drilled or bored holes to tight tolerances in a wide range of metalworking applications. Manufactured from high speed steel (HSS) with a straight 8-flute geometry, this reamer produces a smooth bore finish while maintaining dimensional accuracy. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks or collet holders, and the uncoated HSS construction allows for resharpening in the field. At 9.5 inches overall length with a 2.5-inch flute length, this tool is suited for through-hole and moderate-depth blind-hole reaming on manual mills, drill presses, and lathes.
The TR94901 is used in job shops, maintenance and repair operations, and production environments where hole sizing to 0.7515 inches diameter is required. Typical applications include bearing fits, bushing installations, and close-tolerance shaft clearance work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cut, straight-flute design is appropriate for reaming short to medium-depth holes in materials where chip evacuation from the flute is manageable. It is installed by machinists and toolroom professionals using standard rotating machine setups.
Designed as a straight-shank chucking reamer compatible with standard drill chucks and collet tool-holding systems on drill presses, manual mills, and lathes sized to accept a straight cylindrical shank at this diameter.
Chucking reamers are installed by machinists using standard drill press, lathe, or milling machine setups — always ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool. The workpiece hole should be pre-drilled or bored to within accepted reaming stock allowance before using this tool; removing excessive material in a single pass will accelerate wear and reduce accuracy. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish. Inspect the shank for runout before use to ensure dimensional results are within tolerance.
