The TITAN USA TE82828 is a 2-flute cobalt square end mill designed for milling, slotting, and profiling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this tool delivers elevated heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The AlTiN coating further extends tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. It measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 1.3125-inch length of cut and a 3.4375-inch overall length. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during aggressive passes. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators working in job shop and production environments rely on this tool type for consistent, repeatable results.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC milling machines across general machining, mold making, and maintenance applications. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The right-hand cut and right-hand upcut flute geometry make it compatible with conventional CNC spindle configurations. The 0.625-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, milling chucks, and Weldon-style side-lock holders commonly found in machine shops.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for use in any milling machine or machining center accepting a 0.625-inch shank diameter toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge-line depth before tightening. Inspect the collet and holder for wear, runout, or debris prior to assembly, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear and reduce surface finish quality. Always confirm spindle direction and programmed feed and speed parameters before initiating a cut.
