The TITAN USA TE82721 is a cobalt square end mill designed for milling ferrous and tough alloy materials in machining center and manual mill applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat and wear resistance that standard HSS tooling cannot match. The 0.5-inch diameter cutter runs a 30-degree helix angle with an upcut, right-hand flute geometry, producing clean chip evacuation and efficient cutting action. With a 1-inch length of cut and 3-inch overall length on a 0.5-inch straight shank, this end mill suits a wide range of slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The bright uncoated finish means it is ready to run as delivered. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills where a 0.5-inch shank collet or end mill holder is available. Its 2-flute, center-cutting design allows direct plunge entry as well as standard side milling. The 30-degree helix promotes smooth cutting in stainless steel, tool steel, and other high-strength alloys commonly encountered in job shop and production environments. It is equally applicable to roughing passes in softer materials where a 2-flute tool provides superior chip clearance.
Designed as a standard 0.5-inch shank square end mill compatible with any milling machine or machining center equipped with an ER, R8, or Cat/BT toolholder accepting a 0.5-inch end mill or collet.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the end mill from the holder. Secure the shank to the manufacturer-specified torque range for the holder type in use. Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or damage before tightening to avoid runout that can shorten tool life.
